Our job is to host or support Christian worship events that promote Christ, Sobriety, and Repentance with a focus on connecting the addict with the spiritual and physical resources they need. We seek to embrace and include local churches and Christian recovery entities (like the Salvation Army!) at these events so that we can all unite under the banner of Jesus to rescue our sons, daughters, fathers, and mothers from the demon of addiction. We want to foster communication between your church and the Salvation Army, so that the relationships can be built. The graduates of the Salvation Army program will need a church to grow and fellowship. The time to build that relationship is now!
At this moment, we currently support the Salvation Army’s Anaheim location, including the Adult Rehabilitation Center and the Anaheim Emergency Shelter, and are building relationships with neighboring churches. However, there are 8 Salvation Army ARC’s in Southern California, and over 80 in the United States. There are 2 Salvation Army-run Shelters in Southern California. We can see our fledgling ministry expanding our reach out to other cities and units, promoting Hope Harvest Worship BBQ’s that will create life-saving relationships between. Churches, Salvation Army ARC’s, and recovering addicts and alcoholics. We can see a fleet of mobile stages ready to dispatch at a moments’ notice to provide powerful worship music, biblical teaching, and honest testimonial into any battlefield. We can see our small Musician’s Consortium expanding to include more and more gifted musicians and production crew who have a heart for “the least of these”. We see more and more Christians at large who are willing to join us to pray with and form relationships with those who are struggling and recovering at our events, and are willing to welcome them in to your churches. We see many church bodies empowered with the knowledge of who to call and what to do when someone is struggling in this way.
Many Churches & Community's would love to help, but don't know where to start. We aim to bridge the gap between Churches and the resources that are out there to help people get well
The Salvation Army ARC provides a very safe environment and provides the tools to face life on life’s terms within its structure. Unlike many commercial rehabs today, The Salvation Army does not seek to create “repeat customers” but rather sober Christians that will propagate a life of service. As with ANY Christian, they will not get too far without FELLOWSHIP and COMMUNITY. Now is the time to form those relationships!
